Cooking course
Yesterday night we did a cooking course at the cooking school that was right next to our hotel.
We cooked vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms and fennel.I sliced some zucchini with
a mandolin because all the knives were too sharp for me.After we sliced zucchini we peeled and sliced the eggplant but I didn't do it because every thing was to sharp.Then we had to cut the ends off the mushrooms because they were all hard and furry.Then we sliced the fennel very thin.
After that we made pasta with semolina flour, 1 egg and water then we mixed it all together with our hands.Then we kneaded it and rolled it a little bit then we cut it up using the pasta machine and we put parsley and lemon over the top and then mixed it all together.
After that we made shrimp soup and and it was very very gross because we hat to to take the heads off the shrimp and there was blood everywhere.After that we made the soup with the shrimp and some carrots, beans and parsley.
Then we made the desert with pastry, custard and peaches.we made the pastry with margerine, flour and sugar and we mixed that with our hands too.We rolled it out in a special way and then used a cookie cuter to get a circle shape.then we made the custard and frothed it in a coffee machine and it bubbled a lot.We got to pour it on the table to cool it down.Then we put the cooked pastry in cupcake holders and we pored the custard in side and put the peaches on top.
After all the food got cooked we served it to everybody and then we all got to eat the food we cooked.
